The Corporate Communications Colocation Service grants telecommunications operators, broadcasters, private companies, and public administrations access to the Government of Navarra’s telecommunications sites, which are managed and maintained by Nasertic and distributed throughout the entire territory of the Chartered Community of Navarra.

The Colocation service is available in more than 120 Telecommunications Centers and contributes to the goal of facilitating the deployment of telecommunications services (telephony, data, television, radio, broadband internet access, etc.) across the whole region. This supports territorial cohesion, reduces the digital divide by enabling advanced telecommunications services in rural areas, maximizes the use of existing infrastructure at reasonable costs, and minimizes environmental impact by avoiding the need to duplicate infrastructures.

The telecommunications centers are equipped with resources (electrical service lines, shelters, towers and perimeter enclosures, backup power systems, access‑control systems, air‑conditioning systems, fire detection and extinguishing systems, etc.) to provide high‑quality services with high network availability and stability (air conditioning, generators, alarm detection systems, etc.).

The Colocation service provides 24x7x365 support for incident handling and management and is made available to customers through a specific Service Catalogue that includes:

COLOCATION OF FLOOR SPACE

Both inside and outside the shelters.

Applicable to the installation by the corresponding Operator of cabinets and/or telecommunications equipment inside/outside the shelters/enclosures enabled in the Telecommunications Centers or in shared cabinets.

COLOCATION OF TOWER SPACE

Installation of antennas and support elements in the available spaces on telecommunications towers. Our towers are organized to provide you with the best service depending on the type of antenna or dish you need to install.

TECHNOLOGICAL SERVICES

Electrical maintenance and auxiliary infrastructures:

Technological services include electrical power support for the equipment installed by Operators in the Telecommunications Center managed by NASERTIC, including maintenance of the electrical service lines to the Center, 24x7x365 remote monitoring and maintenance of interior electrical installations, protection equipment, and other auxiliary infrastructures (air conditioning, generators, access control, video surveillance, etc.).

Feasibility studies and technical assistance:

The colocation of an Operator in any of the Telecommunications Centers managed by NASERTIC requires a series of preliminary and installation tasks carried out by NASERTIC to ensure the necessary conditions for the Operator to host its equipment. These tasks can be summarized as:

- Management and processing of requests.

- Execution of feasibility studies.

- On‑site support by NASERTIC personnel during surveys.

- Interior electrical installation

- Installation of resettable magneto‑thermal protection to ensure proper maintenance of the electrical installation from NASERTIC’s monitoring and control system.

Citizens of Navarra, public administrations, and companies in accessing essential services and telecommunications services of general interest.

The Government of Navarra, by making its Telecommunications Centers available to operators through Nasertic, facilitates the provision of telecommunications services of general interest—such as mobile telephony, broadband Internet access, radio and TV broadcasting, and communications for companies and public administrations—throughout the entire territory of the Chartered Community. This ensures that all citizens, public administrations, and companies can access these services regardless of their geographical location, contributing to territorial cohesion and helping to close the digital divide by enabling the deployment of advanced telecommunications services in rural areas through the sharing of infrastructure with private telecommunications operators.

The availability of these centers to third parties enables the sharing of infrastructures with other telecommunications operators as a means to facilitate the deployment of various telecommunications technologies and services under equal and non‑discriminatory conditions throughout Navarra, especially in areas with lower population density and therefore less attractive from a market perspective.

It is also a legal requirement established in current telecommunications legislation for public administrations to promote the shared use of existing telecommunications infrastructure under neutral, objective, transparent, fair, and non‑discriminatory conditions, both as a measure to reduce the cost of deploying electronic communications networks and to prevent the proliferation of duplicated installations for environmental and territorial reasons, thereby minimizing environmental impacts associated with the provision of telecommunications services.
