The Corporate Network Site Connectivity service enables the various offices and buildings distributed throughout the territory of the Chartered Community of Navarra—and belonging to Government of Navarra departments, autonomous bodies, public companies within CPEN, and other public foundations and organizations—to have data communication channels between them and with the Government of Navarra’s CPDs. This allows them to access all hosted services, such as basic and advanced telephony, internet access, corporate applications, and more.
These communication channels are established through different signal‑transport equipment and fiber‑optic infrastructure deployed across the Community, which together form the Government of Navarra’s Corporate Network. This network is complemented by services contracted from third parties in locations where the aforementioned infrastructure is not available. As a whole, it is an advanced, multi‑service communications network that provides the connectivity services required at any location in Navarre.
These services connect the sites in a hierarchical architecture, and each service modality differs according to the capacity of the connection established with the first level of the hierarchy, the aggregation level. Connecting a site enables communication with any other site integrated into the corporate network and allows information exchange within a secure environment, as private networks are created for such communication.
The provisioning and activation of connectivity services are carried out through established procedures.
The service provides 24/7 support, especially for those units that require connectivity with the CPDs and their hosted services for their operations, such as healthcare centers—including hospitals—regional police stations, or fire stations.
All users from the Government of Navarra departments, Public Companies integrated into CPEN, and other organizations or foundations that, due to their public nature, are part of the Government of Navarra’s corporate network.
All connectivity services are based on MPLS transport technology with a hierarchical architecture, using links mainly made up of fiber‑optic connections, some radio‑link spans, and leased transport lines. The network enables end‑to‑end VPNIP private virtual networks.
Different systems are therefore distinguished according to the network hierarchy level considered:
MPLS Transport Network (TM Network).
Carrier Ethernet Transport Network (CE Network). Also based on MPLS protocols.
Aggregation Network (RM Network). VRF technology is used without MPLS.
DWDM Transport: This technology is used on some network segments to optimize fiber use on longer‑distance links.
Native IP radio‑link transport: This technology is used on some network segments to provide redundancy or in areas without fiber‑optic infrastructure.
SDN Connectivity: This technology is used to provide connectivity within the CPD.
